Obviously we have not been doing a good job trying to save the world. We kinda got caught up in a rut and have not even thought about blogging. I know we are horrible, the purpose of this was to share our lifes in's and out's so that people could look at it and think...wow...just the smallest thing like stopping to say hi may change someone's life.
Well since either of us last made a post...our son has turned one...and we are going on our first family vacation at the end of next month.
I can say that I did lose track of the purpose of this blog...this past weekend we went to our local city pool to introduce our son to the wonderful world of swimming. We must have been there for about 20 minutes when they decided to clear out the pool and close for the day. Rumor had it that a couple of people were fighting. OK...this is about to turn into a RANT...
Why people???? Why do we give one person the power to make such a harsh decision...what happened to democracy???? Couldn't they just take both parties that were involved and remove them? AAANNNNDDDD there were cops there...isn't there a law about loitering???? (doesn't that mean they refuse to leave somewhere)???? OK...sooo I googled NY Loitering Laws...seems like it is just a violation...ok...so maybe it was in her authority to remove everyone...but geeze...it feels like some people need power in their lives and use their positions to express it...
sooo my lesson is...learn to accept things for how they happen...there may be a higher purpose behind it :-)
